Nicholas Chim

Music Portfolio / Store

Having grown up in the working class, Nicholas uses songwriting as both catharsis and self-discovery. He believes "that there is an ideal, honest way to live and through the writing process, I'll be able to find it".

With the release of his new EP "The Greatest Enemy”, Nicholas looks set to get back on the road and reconnect with audiences. To him, rediscovering that connection between audience and performer is "the best feeling on earth and I want to keep chasing it".

"..Shows a lot of promise, you guys should check him out.." - Bob Ezrin

“You feel his pain as much as you feel bad for the subject of his ire.” - Eddino Abdul Hadi, Straits Times

“the sheer honesty of Chim's music — one soused with bitterness and passion — lends credence to the challenges of human vulnerability that can be difficult to tackle.” - Bandwagon

"..so true and so human and it feels as if it was written from the soul. Amazing work and I can’t wait to listen to more from him.." - Wolf in a Suit

"..seen by many celebrated artistes within the Singapore indie music scene as a living inspiration.." - Kevin Mathews, TODAY

“a sentimental soundtrack to a heartfelt escape from the world into a place thatʼs both dreamy and comforting.” - Zul Andra, Kiss My Culture

"Among the vanguard of today's Singaporean singer-songwriters" - Time Out Singapore

“Nicholas’ emotive delivery carefully casts this light as he lays it all out, bare and broken, surrendered to the fates beyond control, just like that last shot of whiskey as the first rays of sunlight fracture through your window.” - Brian, I'm Waking Up To
